I reduced my medication on wednesday. i'm stopping it altogether next wednesday, it never did anything for me anyway. i was going to only tell my family next sunday when i'm supposed to take my injection, but i'm going to have to tell them today because i'm supposed to be seeing a shrink tomorrow. fucking shrinks.
i told my younger brother yesterday because i knew he'd be open-minded and rational in his reaction. last time i refused to take it my dad went mental and at one point actually grabbed my arms and shook me. that was scary. he seemed extremely worried about me ending up in an institute again, and i think that's because he finds it embarrassing. when i was in john of god's he went around telling people i was in hospital because i'd hit my head. so fuck him, i'm not even going to talk to him about it unless i think he's going to keep his cool. he's in portugal and i'm in ireland at the moment - i made sure there was a distance before trying this

went to a mate's 21st, japanese food bleuuuggghhh. vanessa wants me to meet her dad so we can talk about psychotic medication, I convinced her to throw a barbeque as an excuse. I'm going to have a go at him because the drugs have made me on different occasions:

-shaky
-sober
-dizzy
-whiney ;)
really want an acoustic guitar and a book with scales and chords so that I can refine/write songs. feeling creative! if you'd like to donate just mail to the usual address. |

My bro's over for Easter. We wrote a second song together, it's called 'Albino Socrates'. The chord changes are cool, there's a nice riff (mine), and then this wicked outro hook at the end of the chorus (my brother's). BUT it doesn't compare to the Pixies song he was playing afterwards. We still have to improve.

I've written a song. all the guitar bit, one verse and the chorus. I'm not too sure how dark a direction I want to take for the second verse but I'll get round to it
I played it for my guitar teacher and he seemed pretty impressed. He liked the chord changes and he said the riff reminded him of Green Day, Bowling for Soup and Maroon 5. I'm pretty chuffed. I've got another riff or two I want to use for some other songs, I think one's a bit Nirvana and he agreed.
I'm still totally shit at guitar, but I have improved a good bit. I'm really lazy for practising though. My little bro has been playing all kinds of instruments since he was like 9 or something and he wants to make a career out of it, so we're gonna start a band. I've already got an ace drummer lined up, we just need a bassist.

I have a new friend called Marcus. how we met is a vaguely interesting story so i will relate it here. i was on the bus on the way back from my poetry course when i noticed this guy sitting opposite me with his discman on loud playing some cool guitar solos and a little smile on his face. he was really laid back and just chilling
so i think 'this looks like a cool guy. im digging his mood man.' and then for some reason i was like 'i hope he gets off on the same stop as me and walks home the same way' not in a gay way, but like i dunno it was weird. so anyway, he DID get off at my stop and started to walk home the same way! so im like, 'must be destiny man' and randomly approached him and started talking to him. we pretty much just talked about music. then i went to see him the next day at the local texaco station and we decided we'd head into town some weekend.
nothing else interesting has really happened to me, except i'm probably joining a band. i'm going to be the singer. looking forward to it. |

been taking guitar and keyboard lessons and vocal training for the past couple of weeks. really enjoying it, i've finally found something i'm actually a bit passionate about and can be bothered to put the practice in, and enjoy it :)
