I reduced my medication on wednesday. i'm stopping it altogether next wednesday, it never did anything for me anyway. i was going to only tell my family next sunday when i'm supposed to take my injection, but i'm going to have to tell them today because i'm supposed to be seeing a shrink tomorrow. fucking shrinks.

i told my younger brother yesterday because i knew he'd be open-minded and rational in his reaction. last time i refused to take it my dad went mental and at one point actually grabbed my arms and shook me. that was scary. he seemed extremely worried about me ending up in an institute again, and i think that's because he finds it embarrassing. when i was in john of god's he went around telling people i was in hospital because i'd hit my head. so fuck him, i'm not even going to talk to him about it unless i think he's going to keep his cool. he's in portugal and i'm in ireland at the moment - i made sure there was a distance before trying this

went to a mate's 21st, japanese food bleuuuggghhh. vanessa wants me to meet her dad so we can talk about psychotic medication, I convinced her to throw a barbeque as an excuse. I'm going to have a go at him because the drugs have made me on different occasions:

My bro's over for Easter. We wrote a second song together, it's called 'Albino Socrates'. The chord changes are cool, there's a nice riff (mine), and then this wicked outro hook at the end of the chorus (my brother's). BUT it doesn't compare to the Pixies song he was playing afterwards. We still have to improve.

I've written a song. all the guitar bit, one verse and the chorus. I'm not too sure how dark a direction I want to take for the second verse but I'll get round to it

I played it for my guitar teacher and he seemed pretty impressed. He liked the chord changes and he said the riff reminded him of Green Day, Bowling for Soup and Maroon 5. I'm pretty chuffed. I've got another riff or two I want to use for some other songs, I think one's a bit Nirvana and he agreed.

I'm still totally shit at guitar, but I have improved a good bit. I'm really lazy for practising though. My little bro has been playing all kinds of instruments since he was like 9 or something and he wants to make a career out of it, so we're gonna start a band. I've already got an ace drummer lined up, we just need a bassist.

14 more songs and I've got my album + b-sides! ;D

I have a new friend called Marcus. how we met is a vaguely interesting story so i will relate it here. i was on the bus on the way back from my poetry course when i noticed this guy sitting opposite me with his discman on loud playing some cool guitar solos and a little smile on his face. he was really laid back and just chilling

so i think 'this looks like a cool guy. im digging his mood man.' and then for some reason i was like 'i hope he gets off on the same stop as me and walks home the same way' not in a gay way, but like i dunno it was weird. so anyway, he DID get off at my stop and started to walk home the same way! so im like, 'must be destiny man' and randomly approached him and started talking to him. we pretty much just talked about music. then i went to see him the next day at the local texaco station and we decided we'd head into town some weekend.

nothing else interesting has really happened to me, except i'm probably joining a band. i'm going to be the singer. looking forward to it.

been taking guitar and keyboard lessons and vocal training for the past couple of weeks. really enjoying it, i've finally found something i'm actually a bit passionate about and can be bothered to put the practice in, and enjoy it :)

my knee is screwed. i blame women's fashion.

it was like this, i grabbed this girl Thea and we both fell over, i assume because of her high heels. i landed on my knee. i managed to drive home last night but today i couldnt even get into a car because i cant bend the bloody thing at the right angle. it was also difficult taking a shit and putting on my underwear.

it might need physiotherapy and it's possible a ligament or tendon or something is ruptured, we dont know yet.

german girls also werent out last night. oh padje, will i ever find true love? :(

i met these crazy germans last night, 3 sisters from age 15 to 20 something. had a really good laugh, they're kind of violent though. kept twisting my nipples and pinching me really tightly.

i wanted to pull the 18 year old one, Blondie, so I was asking her if she liked my belly and my love handles, trying to get a bit flirty. at one point she grabbed it and then made as if to grab my balls so i thought i was in there, but she was really pissed and left early before i really got a chance to make a move. normally if a girl's that pissed and im sober it puts me off but she still knew what she was doing so it was ok

couldnt sleep today coz my sister's friends all came round and were making noise in the pool. also my scales say ive lost 2 kilos since last night, bloody things must be broken.

felt i should do an update because it's been a while. ive been back in portugal the past 2 and a half weeks, been having a pretty good time. up and down bit though, had an on and off depression over the past 4 weeks or so. anyway not gonna bore people with details it's my problem and im coping with it pretty well so no worries. ill see my shrinks again once im back in ireland in september and that should help too

ive lost a little over ten kilos in about 3 months of eating better! that's about 20 pounds i think. ive barely been exercizing too so it's good going. a friend of mine who's a squash talent is giving me tips so i can beat julie my cousin more easily 8-)

unfortunately losing weight hasnt made much difference to my face, more to my body. but it's just a matter of time - i hope to habve lost at least another 15 kilos by christmas and then ill be close to a normal weight. 80-85 kilos is a good weight for me as im tall and also very broad-shouldered and pretty big-boned; im about 105 now
